England International Coach / England Talent Development Manager
Kay Cossington currently employed at The FA as the Head of Talent (Women’s). Kay has led as an International coach for over 12 years and is responsible for the development of girls’ elite football. This has included a complete strategic restructure and a new bespoke and inventive way of accessing, developing and retaining talent in the system. The FA set out their goal and ambition of England Women winning he World Cup in 2023 and beyond and Kay and her team are working hard to help achieve this.
Kay joined The FA full time from Millwall FC eight years ago where she was the Coach Education & Development Manager and FA Girls’ Centre of Excellence Director. Having gained her UEFA A licence, she was already known by many at The FA as England Women's Under 15s Head Coach and National Scout, having won a gold medal with the U19s team in the European Final in Belarus. In addition Kay took a GB team to the World University Games to Kazan in 2013 winning the first Gold medal across men or women’s football at the games.
Kay supports West Ham United, which is also where she played, before going on to manage the women's section and creating a youth structure until moving across to coach FA Women's Premier League side Millwall Lionesses
