Head of Physical Education, University of Chichester
Craig is currently the Head of Physical Education at the University of Chichester, U.K. He has been a Senior Lecturer for the past nine years within the area of Physical Education and Sports Coaching. Craig has recently conducted research on football coaches’ perceptions of the introduction, delivery and evaluation of visual exploratory activity and his work was published in the highly regarded Psychology of Sport and Exercise Journal. This work built on Craig’s previous research where he explored the visual behaviours of youth soccer players and how this influenced their footballing performance. Craig has also published research on elite football performance regarding the defensive tactics for corner kicks in the English Premier League and the variables influencing the success of crosses at the FIFA World Cup. Craig is interested in how we can use research to inform the coaching and leadership processes in football.
